A little nature watercolor piece that I made as a donation for a silent auction at my city’s zoo. Proceeds go to elephant research (but I’m terrible...

My art - made from folded books
So excited to have finally gotten my Cat Cult sticker pack in the mail this weekend! And check out the original artwork on the envelope, love it!...
This week’s Origami class project…sunflowers and butterflies. The modular sunflower model is my own design and the butterfly model is designed by Akira Yoshizawa.
These are pics from a recent Craft Faire I worked where I sold out of my Bark Bags!! Guess my “trunk show” was a hit! :-)
I finished a window display today for a custom frame shop in SF. I used an Origami parrot model which I hand-painted onto the tail feathers some of my dyes. The planes were vintage Nor Cal maps. This was fun!!
This week’s Origami class project…grasshoppers and giant lightning bugs! Both models are my own design.
The kids loved this one! I placed some of the insects atop pipe cleaners so they could move back and forth. Some kids made a pond, too.
This week’s Origami class project…sweet treats! The banana split dish and the ice cream cones are from Origami Club website.
The banana and root beer float are my own design. I added a biscotti cookie and cherry to the banana split. The foam on top of the root beer float is simply white tissue paper along with a paper straw.
These are pics of the upcoming Open Studios taking place in the East Bay beginning June 1st.
I am exhibiting my art with the artist group Norton Factory Studios during this event which lasts about two weeks.
It’s a great chance to network and meet other artists.
If any of you live in the bay area I highly encourage you to come by!
This week’s Origami class project…parrots in paradise! The leaves and parrots are designed by Masato Ishikawa.
These are photos of a wisteria vine as seen from the ground looking upwards. They are cropped views of different sections of the overgrowth which was taken from inside a gazebo on the grounds of a local cemetery.
These are my newest bags: This Bag Rocks! and Bark Bags
I used photos from my iphone and had them printed onto fabric. It is a totally reversible bag, with one divided pocket which can be used inside or outside depending on the pattern option chosen.
The straps are reinforced with three lines of stitching and I boxed the bottom of the bag to allow for extra room.
The lining is fused with fusible fleece and the design is all mine!
Stay tuned for more bags…I have about 6 other bark and rock fabric patterns that I will make into bags soon!
