Pull a handmade book of strings (by Kate Callan)
A little nature watercolor piece that I made as a donation for a silent auction at my city’s zoo. Proceeds go to elephant research (but I’m terrible...
An enclave. Watercolor, ink on cold-pressed watercolor paper. 8x8”.
These are my newest bags: This Bag Rocks! and Bark Bags
I used photos from my iphone and had them printed onto fabric. It is a totally reversible bag, with one divided pocket which can be used inside or outside depending on the pattern option chosen.
The straps are reinforced with three lines of stitching and I boxed the bottom of the bag to allow for extra room.
The lining is fused with fusible fleece and the design is all mine!
Stay tuned for more bags…I have about 6 other bark and rock fabric patterns that I will make into bags soon!
This is my design of an Origami Bunny Box. There are two bunny faces on it, one on the front side and the other on the back side.
The ears can be bent over to one side as seen in the above photograph.
Small candies or treats can be put inside the box.
Here is my first dollar bill Origami design…an Owl! It may become commissioned for an advertisement.
I will keep you informed if it is chosen or not.
This is my “BARK BAG”! I had a couple of my iphone pics printed onto fabric and then I made a tote bag!
The images turned out amazingly well, super clear and my friends LOVE it!
I will make more and sell them on my ETSY site. Stay tuned!
This is/was my daughter’s favorite dress. She wore it until it fit only as a puffy shirt and then it just wasn’t possible to stuff her body into it anymore.
I made it into a bag by sewing the bottom of the dress closed and gave it some room at the bottom so it would seem like a real bag.
It actually turned out cute and she loves it.
Next time I will try to add a light liner so it will hold it’s shape better when full of her girly bits. :-)
These are my design of Origami Holiday lights! Super simple and super cute, I think! :-)
They have a nice way to attach them to a string on the backside.
This is my most recent handbag design. It is 100% cotton and comes with a fully lined, inside zippered pocket.
It is available on my ETSY site: www.etsy.com/shop/freshedamami
These are my “Hair Sushi” barrettes! They are made from bamboo felt and are machine-stitched together and then rolled into “maki” shapes. They are then hand-sewn onto hair clips.
They are simply delicious and can be purchased in my ETSY shop:

I highly encourage you to put food in your hair and even order it to go! :-)
These are felt brooches using circle shapes as my inspiration. I had so much fun making them but I had to stop myself because I could have made a hundred of them.
The pin backing on the reverse side is also hand-sewn on.
These are what I’m calling my “Kyusu” coin purses which means “little teapot” in Japanese. I think they look like little Japanese teapots, too!
The fabric shell is machine-sewn and the purse frame is hand-sewn using embroidery thread. The fabrics are all 100% cotton and the exterior fabrics were fused with a lightweight facing.
